Oh, it's a horrible solution - but from what I can tell it was an honest mistake the devs made in desperation.
They have been totally overwhelmed by the massive FOMO STA created yesterday, and after it broke 1inch and Uniswap the weak hands went apeshit and put even more pressure on them.
The devs went and got STA listed on bamboorelay but the weak hands still weren't satisfied because the volume on that exchange is so low.
IDEX isn't compatible with deflationary coins, and Uniswap is still unfucking themselves, so the devs created STAC to appease the pajeets trying to panic sell.
