You found the limited editiom bitcoins.

The first 10,000 bit coins where struck after being mined.
You cant get them digitally, they only exist in coin form.

Presumably a Coinbase one so u can turn it into cold hard cash. I’d recommend holding on to them they are priceless to be honest they were ur bros

Check to make sure they are valid first.

If they are you found yourself a small fortune.

The original bitcoins were minted in 3 layers with a chip inside.
The coin should have a chip in the core surrounded by platinum and then gold plated.

They made these to last and are almost like mini time capsules. Thats why the price went higher than gold.

Get a knife and cut into it to see if you see silver/platinum color under the gold.

You can also try opening the coin to retrieve the chip.

I hope you have a micro SD card adapter.

anon i am 90% sure you are just baiting us but in the small chance you are not do not post pictures anywhere.
This is something you can learn about google, do not directly ask anyone about this because the instructions they give you will be so they can steal the codes from you.

You have Casascius original Bitcoin physical codes.
They are made of brass if I am right.

They are worth more than Bticoin, they have a premiun value more than just the numismatic value.

The numismatic value would be 1 BTC.
But the premiun for them being as high as 5x the value printed on them.

Leave them physical, no need to turn them digital.

Here:
>Each coin holds the key to the digital value assigned to a particular bitcoin account.

>Though the coins are designed to reflect the relative worth of an account, they’re actually just secure containers for the digital information that unlocks the bitcoin’s value. The eight-character code on the outside of the coin corresponds to the first eight characters of an individual bitcoin address, which is assigned specifically to that coin. The individual bitcoin account’s “private key” is embedded on a card inside each coin.

>The digital bitcoin, of course, is located online, found in the public “block chain” that records every bitcoin transaction on the internet. The digital coin connected to each Casascius is accessible only to the person who has the private key from the physical coin.

Do you have his old computer too? There you might get his stack as well.
