Is 2% slippage on 3 $1000 dollar transactions the same as 6% slippage on 1 $3000 dollar transaction?
I took too much xanax and can't figure this out to save my life.

2 x 3 = 6
6% of $3000 is 180
180 / 2 = 90
90 / 3 = 30
3% of 30 = .9
Your answer is .9

No, w/ the 6k transaction you are still paying 2%, but the slippage itself is multiplied times three because the amount is three times larger.

Do the 3 1k trades at 2%. Total slippage is $60 which is 2% of 3k. Great bait.

but 2% 3 times would be 6%? That is what I was thinking not bait

if you talking about uniswap - slippage will just keep going up from where you left it. so if you do 3 trades in a row - you will end up with the same slippage as one large trade, cos you just push it up with each trade if that makes sense. however, doing multiple smaller trades is better because somebody else might trade in the opposite direction right after you - and so reduce the next step slippage for you.
