What IS cryptocurrency anyways? I understand it's just a scam for retards to buy into the "idea", but has anyone ever asked themselves WHAT it is?

People are buying into it in hopes of it rising up more so they can profit. This is easy to understand, but what exactly is it for? Because in the meantime only criminals use it to their advantage. Yes, they do, don't even try to pretend like that's not what it's for. No practical reason to use it unless you're doing something you shouldn't.

It's not backed by anything aside from "bro trust me" and its value is based on the USD (or whatever shit currency your gay country has). You still NEED the USD. Not to mention it doesn't matter because it's not backed by the government. You can't "do" anything with it. I understand the technology. You know, the same technology that's in Apple Pay, Android Pay (Google Pay? Don't know because I don't use poor people phones), Samsung Pay, and shit like that. I have no idea. BTC is treated as gold instead of a currency. If you want widescale adoption of crypto it needs to be largely worthless since it's basically digital money.
