Why do I get the feeling that no matter how rich I may become, I will never have real life friends whom I truly love and who truly love me

If you didn't have real friends by the time you left college, its over for you.

I'm trying to get rich so I could buy fake friends who pretend to love me, as its better than have 0 friends. Maybe I'll have kids who wont have to pretend.

I can confirm that money won't bring you friends.
It's ok for me since I'm a bit autistic, the only thing I want is a warm and safe place with a fast internet connection. So becoming a millionaire didn't change much for me.

We're your friends, fren.
Unironically, you can make friends by talking to people your age in social settings. Try bars. I've made friends this way.

Partially true. It gets harder the older you become. Still not impossible.

I feel ya. It's so much harder to make friends today if you have no social media presence.

Just don't talk about crypto, politics, or religion on the first date ok anon? Unless it's someone who is genuinely based, and you'll be able to tell.
Met an accountant and his wife in a bar in Denver, just asked to pet their dog and we ended up drinking and laughing like hell the rest of the night, talking about how retarded the world is. I lucked out finding that fucker, probably the funniest person I've ever met in my life. They invited me back to their place and gave me a bed for the night, since I was sleeping in my SUV while traveling.
You can easily distinguish between cool people and people you shouldn't interact with within a few minutes. I believe in you bud

You definitely can get real friends when older. I know some people who I'm sure could be friends if i wasn't asocial. Some of them are very different ages to me. You'll probably find older people who could be comfy friends. Neighbours, that kind of thing

Adding on to this, if you take my advice and go forth in the world and talk to random people, here's something he told me to say:
>I don't know anyone here, who are you?
Works 100% of the time to tell if someone is worth talking to or not. Think about it, try it. It works.
