Hey Faggots,

My name is Jerome, and I hate every single one of you. All of you are poor, retarded, degenerates who spend every second of their day looking at stupid ass charts. You are everything bad in the economy. Honestly, have any of you ever gotten any dividends? I mean, I guess it's fun making fun of people because of their gambling addictions on weekly options and chinese scam stocks, but you all take to a whole new level. This is even worse than buying BGFV at $9.50.

Don't be a stranger. Just hit me with your best shorts. I'm pretty much perfect. I am Chair of the Federal Reserve of the United States, and hand picked by President Trump. What investments do you make, other than "buying the LCI dip because of muh share structure and epic short squeeze"? I also get mad gains, and have a banging hot interest rate (I just did some rape hikes; Shit was SO crash). You are all faggots who should just liquidate your portfolios and apply for a job at McDonald's. Thanks for listening.

The EU guarantees free movement of capital, labour, goods and standarized laws and regulations to ease the life for companies and citizens.
Their laws may be shit sometimes but in general the concept helps the economy immensely.

Imagine closing down Florida. A sudden border where now are fields, Floridians having to leave the US, Americans having to leave Florida.
Health insurances not valid while on vacation, mobile phone charges after you cross the border, the inability to sell your goods in the US because they lack FDA certification, the inability to move capital around, the inability to apply for a job in Texas, tariffs when you import a Ford from the US, retirees from New York having to leave, etc.
menawhile Florida uses all influence in the politics of the US.

Now imagine being a company. Would you invest in the market of 400 million, and growing, potential labourers and consumers? Or in the country that has 60?
The 60 million one may give some good tax breaks, but the other place may enact harsh tariffs to offset these gains if they want to punish you or delay certification or approval because you are producing on foreign soil. Would you keep investing or wait and see where this all goes before you do anything?

Its a huge mess.

Youre welcome.
Most of /pol/ and such hates the EU and they have some weird and shitty laws. Some of these politicians live in an ivory tower.

BUT: The EU made business so much easier. I live 20 meters from the border basically. I cross over and dont even notice. I can study anywhere, I can work anywhere. I can set up a bank account in Estonia and spend my life living in Greece. Tomorrow. While being treated as a citizen by/of both of these countries. (Or as soon as flights start going back up)

Watch this. Its quite famous, but maybe you havent seen it and it explained the UK in the EU quite well.

>The EU needs to get its shit together regarding the single market, but the UK leaving isolates the UK from even more markets.
Pretty much
It was just a dumb move. The British blamed all the shitty laws on the EU and blamed the EU if they had problems at home. Then the people believed these things and actually wanted to leave the EU. Which is now a problem for the politicians because they never wanted that. At least no sane individual from business or politics ever wanted that.

43% of QQQ is Tech holdings, healthcare is only about 8%

If tech goes down, it wont matter if Healthcare absolutely skyrockets.
And with investors fleeing into tech because it looks like an investment safe haven, you're going to have a massively overinflated bubble primed for popping.
Your portfolio would get absolutely bullied

With a huge chunk of the nation unemployed, spending will be throttled and less money will be funneled into luxury technologies.
And Amazon which is a large chunk of QQQ has 7 dead of the Wuhan Hangover and refuse to disclose how many are sick.
It will come to a head, where employees refuse to work for fear of getting sick or the company is ordered to halt operation.

I visted London the last time in 2015 I think.
Naturally I went to several museums. Often school classes from very different schools with little boys and girls came in groups with a guide.
And I did not see a single class where more than 10% of kids were white. Most girls wear wearing a hijab.
Usually the group of 25 or so children had like one little white fellow. Maybe two. Several classes did not have a single white kid.

This is not the fault of the EU. That was Britannia herself. The EU did not force Britain to accept all people from her former colonies. Hell, they started coming way before the EU even existed.

I went all-in on one midcap oil company in early 2015 halfway through the crash, because I thought it was over or at least there would be a recovery within 6 months to levels beyond where I bought in. Foolish me.

Should have paid attention and cut my losses so much sooner, since the stock went from $55 peak to $22 (where I bought in) and then down to about $4, and then a further slow death to under $1 between 2015 and 2019. I hung onto the stock because I thought the financials made it possible for it to play out until prices recovered without bankruptcy. Around last summer things were picking up, but then it stalled a bit and when corona came it crashed again.

During corona crash, I again thought the company would survive long enough for a price recovery, so I bought in at $0.445 to help DCA. Stock is currently at $0.43 and I continue to pray for a recovery.

At this point it's not even about the money - I lost 30K on this by summer 2015 and it has mostly stagnated since - it's about ego and being able to recover from what was objectively way too risky of a decision.

bad orange man will start a war with venyzuela which will get the russians involved since i heard the russians are helping VZ, and this gibs him perfect time to show he's not putin's puppet so he'll escalate to hot war with russia, china, iran, pakistan.

it will be usa + japan + taiwan + india vs. chyyyyna + russia + iran + pakistan. both sides hate each other. pakistan and india almost got into world-war-poo but it got memoryholed. trump risked getting goyrona a month or two ago to visit india. he also visited japan twice i believe. he's also very friendly with taiwan. we already know the chinkcoms blame HK protests on amerizog.

the war in syria has been awfully quiet lately. it's going to come down to whether turkey wants to side with israel and EU against the bad dictator gasser guy who is head of syria.

WW3 still on the menu. it's also the only way to save boeing at this point which is too big to fail. WW3 deaths will make goyvid19 look like a little schoolyard sniffle.

Of course they will come back. The problem is that a lot of them may face bankruptcy and nobody can predict how it will all play out.

Lets imagine a second wave hits. Politicians cant close down the economy again, so they start blaming people who travel too much and close the borders again. Doesnt even have to make sense, but many airlines would go out of business.
Also less people will travel now when its all so risky.

The best options I personally see would be Lufthansa, KLM and other "national" carriers that will will nationalized or supported if need be. Or lines with huge amounts of cash on hand. Like Ryanair.

Just my two cents. I neither have airline stock nor would I bet against them.

listen, Baggie.

I'm saying that on Amazon's current path, they are unsustainable.
They are not taking care of their employees, and despite a large part of their business being automated, they still need human beings to do a large part of the job.
All the small businesses have been largely shuttered, and Amazon has had essentially the entire bulk of America's needs put on their shoulders.

They're trying to -instead of acknowledge their shortcomings of containing the virus- to just censor the information instead and work their employees twice as hard with twice the risk.
These people aren't going to stand for this much longer, and they just had an 8th death reported today.

I think, in my opinion, Amazon will be toast in maybe 3 months time.
There employees will either outright strike and the gears will grind to a halt completely, or they will be ordered to shut down by local government.

I don't have crystal ball, i'm just thinking in terms of human psychology.

So I’m trying to flesh out my Sim City index. So far I got industrial, commercial, and residential REITs, a water utility, electric utility, and a garbage service company. Are there any police department or fire department stocks? School stocks?

>Also exposed to bad, risky, and delayed debt.
That's the real problem. However there's very good chance they'll figure out how to offload that to the average joe, like usual.

>Eat shit from low interest rates which will likely stay this way for a long time.
The exact opposite, as they benefit from the low rates but don't let their clients benefit from the same rates.

>They will take as long to recover as airlines, maybe even longer.
Not even remotely true. Airlines bleed money as soon as they operate under 100% capacity, while banks have insane margins on almost everything. Night and day. Airlines are guaranteed fucked for the next 4 years minimum, if they even survive. Meanwhile banks haven't even begun to feel the heat (this will only happen in 4+ months when the big debt owners are no longer being directly propped up by the government; conversely if everything reopens as planned without incident they're safe).

>They are just unlikely to go under because the Fed will literally see this country turn to ash before shitty banks are allowed to bite it.
And finally, this makes them infinitely safer than airlines. Airlines don't have a good trackrecord of being bailed out. Banks absolutely due (though again, this isn't a sure thing).

USO is a great investment for the next 3 months. Why? Because OIL WILL NOT GO DOWN FROM HERE. OPEC will not allow oil to ever go negative again. If that means cutting production by half, so be it. Trump will not allow Oil to go negative again.

Take any bank ticker and look at their chart. You will almost certainly see that it took from 2008 to 2013-2016 for them to see any steady growth.
They are airlines tier without the risk of an "oops they went bankrupt" problem

You have to realize how different the situation is. 2008 was sparked by subprime mortgage lending. Banks were the originators. They packaged all the subprime loans and sold that shit as MBSs. They couldn't recover their losses as a result. Here it's not even remotely comparable. Have you tried getting a loan before and after? They used to let students get a 200k mortgage at 3% down, now they won't let a stable skilled worker get a 100k mortgage at 10% down and require 500 proofs of xyz. There are no more subprime loans going around. Combined with all the government gibs and the fact that this time, every entity is aware of the risk and is deadset on mitigating it, there's no way they'll get in trouble so long as shit opens in the next 3-6 months.
Even if none of that was trivially verifiable, they STILL wouldn't be airline tier on historical bailout rates, running expenses and margins alone.
You really don't know what you're talking about.

I have a crystal glass from waterford crystal i'm drinking my scotch out of, and I can tell you... Thanks for the insight, I'm a fan of personal liberty, personal responsibility... I don't want to see people hurt, but if we have to raise prices to pay workers more.... if we have to add more costs for having an employee regarding additional training and even more ppe.... as an economist I forecast a push back...

english and shit was never my best subject, but as far as psychology... i'm a great listener when I want to be, and honestly... I've heard enough bullshit outcrys from union supporting liberals.

When Gov Cuomo says, "Those who want to work can get a job working for an essential business or what?"

That is an abuse of power, tyrannical statement from a man drunk with power.... He's dishonest and scum... He's actively asking people stay on furlough and apply for more work that he's deemed essential? Who get's to pick and choose what jobs are essential? I hate this pullback of the economy. It's fucking mostly from governors of states run by Democratic majorities... They're just asking for gibs while that's not how economies function....

Ok sorrry... i'm just kinda retarded, but I'm going to use this strife as a learning experience, and carry my new found wisdom forever... Don't make the same fucking mistake 2 or 3 times. If you want a better life, you have all the tools to do it.

I sold 3/4 of my airlines today. I like them long term I’m just afraid this covid turns into a full on recession like 2008. That case things crash and it takes 5 years to return to 2019 numbers. Still 300% growth in 5 years, damn good.

But I like Cruise ships more, because I see them doubling this year, with less economic risk. But once they hit 28 I’ll sell and probably jump back in to airlines.
