this shit is ridiculous man. i'm a college student and a minimum wage box office employee at a theater (concert venue not movies) who made $12 an hr last year and worked on average 15 hours a week. so i made like $2000 the entire year last year.

i don't qualify for typical unemployment benefits because i only worked part time, but since my theater shut down because of corona i qualify for pandemic unemployment assistance which gives me $182 a week plus $600 until the end of july. i'm now making almost twice of what i made the entire year last year every month by sitting on my ass doing nothing. i'm in NY too so there's no way there are going to be concerts by the end of july so i'm going to be getting $600 every week until it runs out. i'm getting a fucking direct deposit for $3700 tomorrow.

it's hard to believe this is even real. it's like a fucking windfall. i have very few expenses so i'm putting all of it into stocks/crypto/precious metals. praise jesus.
