Not really, I think we should see at least one dip before shit goes down.

>> No.19228772

Would that dip be large enough to make it worth waiting for? What if there is a possibility that it might not even occur?

The Gold:Silver Ratio is currently at $1749.50 / $17.48 = 100.0858. It's down from almost 120:1 but it has a long way to go. Historically it's been more like 60:1 for the past half century or so. Buy silver for now. When the ratio drops (just like they said it wouldn't a month ago) far enough then you can trade your silver in for gold. In the meantime figure out how much of your stack you want to be in gold and then budget out your precious metals money so that you build a cash position that is ready to buy gold when the ratio drops far enough to trade in for gold. You will reap more gold overall that way.

its always a good time to buy gold, just check the last 50 years, you cant lose unless you pay too high premiums

silver is industrial metal
gold is not
why does the ratio matter?

>> No.19230424

>>19230375
because silver is an undervalued asset that is easy to stock up on that can be traded for the desired asset

look up greshams law btw

If it is always a good time to buy then why do premiums matter. How high are the premiums usually where you are? They're about $200 where I'm looking.

Per 1oz I mean.

How do you plan to sell it?

That is a relatively new development. Pre-corona, I was getting 1oz with $30-50 premiums.

I suppose the demand is much higher for gold right now, hopefully it settles down eventually. If there is a gold pullback I think I'm going to buy a few ounces to hold for the long term.

Problem is you can't get silver for anywhere close to that. The cheapest 1 oz silver round on apmex is $20.98, cheapest 1 oz gold bar is $1,823, which comes out to a ratio of 86.89.

The premiums on silver are ridiculous desu. I don't know where you're meant to get decent deals on silver besides junk silver.

>> No.19232556

If you're a 0 ouncelet, today is always the best day to get your first ounce.
If you already have some now is not a great time to buy IMO.
Liquidated most of my mining stonks today as I expect a dip to come soon, I am terrible at calling tops though so do the opposite of me.

But if it is going to dip then surely it is better to wait for the pullback? I have like a few grams of gold lol, most of the PM I own are silver.

There's always the chance you just get priced out if you wait forever. Up to everyone to take the risks they are willing to take. Buying/not buying are both risky.

I would get some of these. I think they will have serious collector value in a few years.
