How much do those journalists who do news pieces on the VICE youtube channel make annually? I kinda wanna do something like this as a career.

Not very much - know a guy who's actually in their videos and found out his rate is about 250/day. He somehow owns a 2 bedroom house in Los Angeles (~900k USD). Likely scenario = trust fund/'my great grandfather invented the...'.
