This chart is FUD. If it went back 2 more weeks you could see that the hash rate has only declined to where it was at the beginning of last month.

If this is true, this thread is an example of fake news. The worst part is that OP has done so knowingly, trying to deceive.
Who could be behind such a post? what if OP is trying to stir up a racial conversation by this? Is it /pol/?

The hash rate is decreasing precisely because they're not capitulating. They're shutting off miners so they can hibernate til it's profitable to sell the BTC they're sitting on.

Capitulation is literally selling your position. Hodling is not selling, you fucking nufag retard.

>> No.19191969

>>19191919
Wrong. Also, the drop in the hash rate historically corresponds with the price crashing. Thus, as miners turn their rigs off, they know that they are contributing to the imminent crash, so they would be incentivized to sell their positions ASAP, not after the other miners sell. You never want to be the last to sell in this situation. Brainlet retard newfag.

From investopedia: Capitulation is when investors give up any previous gains in any security or market by selling their positions during periods of declines

That would be miners selling their position. They aren't going to just turn them off as they go out of business, they're going to liquidate the entire business. That's what businesses do, not just miners.

You’re being super stubborn. They could always switch the coin they are mining from BTC to something else. The hash rate is barely down at all when compared to April. Do you really seriously believe that because the hashrate has gone down 20% from a local high that we are in capitulation territory?

A friend of mine invested in a btc mining startup couple years ago, filled a house with rigs. They projected running up until the halvening, paying back investors in that timeframe etc. Then they said they would evaluate, maybe see what new asics were on the market and such. Anyway, could it be that there were a bunch of mining projects like that, which were projected to run until about now?
