Of course. Think about it this way:

Who’s going to enforce the stupid government restrictions/rules on social distancing, masks, business openings, etc.? What’s that going to lead to?

Do leftists want more people in jail or not? If the answer is no, then forget about trying to enforce any social distancing rules, which are borderline unconstitutional on their face anyways.

If leftists want to keep people out of jail (never said that’s a bad thing), then you should argue against enforcement of unconstitutional social distancing rules/regulations.

>>19182108
Correct. Some people want stricter punishment than others, my point is that when the police here enforce something, it could lead to harsher punishments than intended. The police here are heavy handed to say the least.

Since you don’t live here I don’t think you’re in a position to tell me how the American police act/do things, honestly — of course they don’t create the law, but they could throw someone in jail for, say, getting upset/raising their voice about getting a fine or violation. Police here have a broad range of tools they can use, and if you’re in favor of strict social distancing regulation enforcement, it’s going to end up with more people in jails, period.

Where do you live?

Luckily the police in many parts of the country are turning their backs on strictly enforcing the social distancing regulations because the laws/regulations themselves are so fucking stupid and out of touch.

It’s like the governors have gone power crazy but the people that can actually enforce that power are just ignoring it (see: Illinois)

I think it's a bad idea to advocate against law enforcement in general because it creates a lawless society, where some people are punished and others aren't. Justice is important imo.

You’re advocating for enforcement of social distancing regulations dude. Like I wrote before

1) who’s going to enforce those regulations?
2) how do you think that’s going to play out?

follow through your ideas that “maybe some people need a babysitter”. I can guarantee you that minorities will end up being affected by that mindset the most, and you’re going to end up with higher incarceration rates. It’s literally common sense; more laws, more enforcement, more people in jail/prison. If that’s what you want then fine, but I think that’s fucking stupid.

She also said Uber has instructed their drivers not to pick up riders without masks but I had a Nam vet boomer drive me home from the mechanic a few days ago and he didn't give a shit about me not wearing a mask. Do you even know what a slippery slope you're on? They're not demanding for your blood, zip code, dna, or any of that shit. People spit when they talk. People spit MORE when they talk louder. The mask prevents your spit from landing on possible fomites.
