Who is this mystery hero that pumped oil this morning?
Where did he come from?
Why would he do it?
What does he want (obviously not money)?
Perhaps we may never know, but god bless you for your sacrifice, truly a knight as dark as the oil he will drown in.

Elevator to hell baby, going down.

I've said what I have to say. I'll admit I was wrong about oil if it isn't in the toilet by tomorrow at noon. I won't admit I was wrong about tankers because they're still trading below their fundamentals because thumbsuckers somehow think storage is the only thing they're good for

Tight hands here. Although the red hurts. Have a lot of faith in DHT which has chartered its fleet for a large part anyway. Production will always, due to geopolitical reasons, be higher than demand. Storage will be full and even without it tankers will do fine.

But the moon mission, which I was never for, is not going to happen anytime soon. We will see a steady increase with divvies in top. I am looking forward to Q3 earnings for one. The next leg down might have happened by then but who knows. Nothing is certain in this clown market. All I know is DHT is seeming more and more like value investing to me.

Svein, take your time, make me some divvies and work that fleet, my man.

I was thinking the same thing. Isn't this bullish for tanker companies? Those tankers are still collecting their daily rates for storing the oil, no? All of you retards should have realized the stocks would dump when OPEC announced production cuts which everyone should have seen coming given market conditions. The tanker companies benefit from the oil glut so a blockade really doesn't impact their bottom line at the moment since the daily rate is still very high. While the VLCCs are at anchor they should be making even more money as there's none of the cost associated with those ships being underway.

>Probably reason for a tax hike down the line.
The tax hike will be from the loans required for municipalities that are going bankrupt. They can't fund civil services because no one is able to pay taxes and also draining UI and pension funds. It's a really really shit situation for state and local governments, because they really don't have too much control over things. they will unironically reap what they've sewn. The actions that banks and corps take with the money they've been able to obtain... this is a differernt topic entirely. I think we've been watching brinkmanship between the fed reserve and banks since at least september.

I think the only realistic scenario that will do this will be if the banks get shot and boomers start realizing there's no buyers. We'll have to see. The banks getting shot meaning like actually fucking rekt. The rates spiking upisn't enough for a full on crash, i think.

Order books are currently already completely empty due to IMO2020 and IMO 2030; shipyards are already bankrupted and tanker creditors are all gone. The tanker market is complicated but has a built in equilibrium that began tipping in late 2019.
