I don't need to bluff. I just work for a few months till I'll certified and have established a reputation for myself as a competent core member of the team, and then I tell the owner I'm going to move on unless they pay me more.

Generally speaking it is easy to negotiate a raise once the NPC's realize that you are a PC(player character) and their immediate reality is under your control and benevolent guidance.

Does not work if other PC's are on the team. However NPCs will bend to the will of any willful leader.
