ether is

>> No.19154994

Ether is turning into the reserve currency for defi and swap dexes. Anyone whose used a swap dex knows the UX is 100x better than traditional exchanges. Defi will replace traditional banking. Ether is poised to become the world's store of value with EIP1559. Eth 2.0 will fully enable blockchain gaming alongside layer 2 solutions.

The startup I work for is only considering chains other than ethereum because they're offering us millions USD to use their chains instead of Ethereum. If the competitors have to pay millions to get adoption, and ethereum gets it for free... well you do the math.

ETH is going to fucking boom so hard. Just make sure you're hodling at the right time.

I go into alts, but only half my stack at most, and keep the rest in ETH. 50% of the time I'm 100% ETH

Was thinking about getting the 32 eth meme.

But only 2-6% apy for staking and running a node on a pc 24/7? Lmao I made $20k this week on PnDs. Why the fuck would I do that chump shit.

Yes, but I think a lot of that has to do with Vitalik and his team having a shitty work ethic/roadmap. They need to get their shit together and get 2.0 out

Uhh, what? Uniswap is really cool but the UX definitely needs improvement. And it lacks an orderbook, I am not sure if that would be possible though.

Not necessarily. It is the number two coin by a longshot. There is still uncertainty around the new work, although I remain optimistic. Give it three years.

Idk how many times I have to explain this: Ethereum is appropriately valued and actually still quite high. Are you talking about it being undervalued for it fundamentals or for its position in the whole speculative horse race of crypto?

Everything was overvalued in 2017 but none more so than Ethereum. There was a temporary, artificial, extreme demand and scarcity caused by the ICO craze, which caused ETH to skyrocket in price as everyone needed to have some to buy into ICOs. The ICO holders have long since sold all that ETH to the latecoming bagholders in order to fund themselves in fiat, and now that the ICO craze is long done ETH is at more of an equilibrium price, and yet still so, so high.

The other problem is that speculators like you are treating ETH like a store of value--- like BTC--- when in reality its value should reflect the demand for running code in the EVM. THAT'S why Vitalik says an appropriate price for ETH is around 10-15 dollars. Until there's mass adoption and tons of throughput on the ETH 2.0 network--- as well as scarcity caused by staking--- the ETH token is wildly overvalued in terms of fundamentals.

I just realised ETH is back to $200 when it was at $100 a few weeks ago, and I could have made an easy 100% return.
