BAT is one of those painful projects that has a great team and idea hobbled by a token that fundamentally does not need to exist.

>> No.19116890

FOAM, a project that gives zero fucks about its community or token price right now. Would not be surprised if an exit scam was happening as we speak but I've heard from some sources that they've just moved a lot of development into private

>> No.19116894

The problem is once you take a punt on a project you become emotionally detached, you can no longer see the project objectively

I believe, with the popularity of Brave and the increasing popularity of crypto that in a year or two a bat token could be worth £5-15, which would make me a lot of money on my investment

But if I ask someone who is neutral they will say it's a waste of time and I should put that money in something else

Partly agree.
I'm optimistically cynical and believe that almost every major crypto project will pump at some point in time because the market is an unregulated clown fiesta.
When it does, i'll get out.

>>19116894
Yea, i'm certainly attached to the idea behind Brave and the proposed ability to purchase VPN subscriptions with BAT etc.
However as an investment vehicle, i'd probably have more luck paying into a failing pension fund.

Who knows bros, maybe the slow and steady bet will win out. Chainlink was (still is) a fucking laughing stock for 3 years, propped up by a good idea.

Hold and see.

Fast, cheap and scaleable already, it's consistently doing the largest transaction volume daily. Probably one of the top teams in the field, they've hired 50+ people in the last year. They have staying power, they are well funded and regulatory compliant from the start. So much coming for it too, Starlight lightning channels, ZkVm private transactions, Nodle smart contracts, Vega witch Jed has said will be the biggest crypto use case so far coming soon. Honestly DYOR this is all superficial stuff if you don't understand it.

I hold around 50K which is about 20% of my folio, other 40% being BTC and 20% ETH. Honestly this is a loong play, the supply is obviously big and there's more to come but they are seriously pushing the barrier for adoption and use cases. This is an investment in the value of the network,so when this market becomes less speculation and more utility I think this will be poised to be massive. Probably going to be more in the 2-5 year range.

Its a project to make international transactions easier and cheaper. Built by the cofounder of XRP with the same code except a few security changes and a different purpose. Downside is that its a centralised coin because the SDF owns a large portion of the coins. Also, people report that it shouldnt moon because the point of XLM is to be cheap enough to pay for transactions. Aprox. .0001 XLM or something like that

t. Forms his views by reading uniformed comments on biz

For a start the codebase is almost entirely different now, it's been over five years of separate development. The network itself is now totally decentralized, it can now be run without the main SDF validators online and there are more and more corporate and community validators coming on. The supply is centralized in the hands of the SDF but that's the case with any crypto where the founder has a large cut of the supply. Only Stellar is probably the least likely to abuse the funds they have https://www.stellar.org/foundation/mandate

BAT looks okay, remember it has Brandon Eich behind hit. The creator of Javascript and co-founder of Firefox or whatever. He's also one of the few people to step up against google. I'd say it's good for a long term hold. It does have some roadblocks that need sorting.

Saga, want to hold a bit on stable coins, live in a Euro economy and dont trust USD based ones cause americans are truly retarded.

There are no popular EUR stable coins, but I really liked the idea of one backed by the same weights as the international monetary funds (SDR).

And I think it's safe to assume that millions of tokens are going to be lost forever, I have probably 500 over a few devices in my house, none have validated wallets or whatever it is, when a device dies, or you switch back to chrome or whatever then chances are those tokens are lost forever

Millions of people have downloaded brave, a good percentage will enable tokens, and a good percentage of them will lose interest, not bother to validate, and eventually move to a new device

How much that will impact price I don't know. You also have to imagine how Brave will evolve in the coming years, add features and different types of adverts or whatever

OGN aka origin protocol. Seems like a great idea to me and has a great team and investors from youtube, reddit, paypal, all the normie shit. Theoretically if it takes off it could undercut Uber, Airbnb, and all the big "app industries" that make shit tons of money but don't really need to exist.

I currently hold 10,000 OGN tokens and I plan on holding until it's worth either 5 BTC or $500,000 whichever comes first

>> No.19120497

The other 20% of my folio is NEX. It's the only exchange that is doing something totally different from the others and has set itself up for the future of exchange regulations. The exchange is fully non custodial whilst having the performance of a CEX. The token is the first registered security token in Europe, which grant's dividends of the exchanges profit when you stake your tokens. Very low supply of 50m with millions already staked for 2 years. The first exchange to do fully non custodial non wrapped BTC trading which is a huge technological achievement, the tech they are developing is huge. This is another long play that get's shit on here as the exchange is still very much in development and probably won't have much volume for another year or so.
