I just finally got my direct deposit and looking to buy some more of the dip, so my question to you is, should I wait for the Monday market or will all the stuff reopening make it higher than trading an aftermarket Thursday?

There's lots of resources for passive investing, google around. Pretty much all of them hedge on the fact that in the long term markets have gone up for at least the last 130 years, so it's a safer "set it and forget it" approach to bet on the market going up.

The general advice is going to be to buy indexed ETFs and just long hold forever. SPY/QQQ if you want regular indexes (follow the market 1:1), or something like SPXL/QLD if you want leveraged indexes (follow the market 2:1 or 3:1 - typically multiplying boths gains or losses by 2x or 3x).

If anyone is to pull the plug on the USD first, it's Russia. They have endured chronic and extensive sanctions from the United States, which have necessitated financial independence.
