I think this is a good and obvious idea, I expected this sort of thing from the start. More websites/services need to start adoption cryptocurrencies on their platforms or they're going to get left behind. People that create stuff online can get paid for it now without other people having to type in their fucking credit card information or log into an account. An entirely new online payment platform is going to blossom from this and platforms won't necessarily be using BTC (too slow, big fees, etc.)

I'm a little bummed that it's not BAT being implemented because I feel like BAT would fit perfectly within the Reddit ecosystem (for example, it's already available for tipping on Reddit in the Brave Browser), but still I believe this will be an overall a net positive for ERC-20 tokens, so I welcome it.

I think Ethereum and all ERC-20 will benefit from this.

It also gives slightly more legitimacy to bitcoin because it gives cryptocurrency another massive use case. But I think bitcoin is solidifying itself as a legacy crypto, the "digital gold" reputation it has built up is just getting more and more accurate over the years. Nobody wants to "spend" their bitcoin, even if the tools do become available. BTC will never be honest with themselves and admit it, but none of them want to become the next BTC-pizza guy. They're too chickenshit to spend BTC. It's no longer liquid.
