He didn't even develop it. VRF's have existed for a long ass time. Literally all he did was add crypto buzzwords.

>VRF's have existed for a long ass time.
Not on Ethereum, not without a trusted third party responsible for putting the VRF onto Ethereum.
If your response to this is genuinely, "so what, it already exists," then you misunderstand what it is.

>hey I’m Sergey nazarov. A while back I was really into bitcoin and I mined a bunch. Then uhh with my philosophy degree I did a lot of uh thinking about ethereum and smart contracts. Smart contracts need data that’s like from the real world and we call those things oracles, heh yeah like the matrix. So anyway I created a token and it’s called chainlink and so like I’m going to create some decentralized oracles but of course I’m not really sure what that looks like yet. We have some cool partners and node operators that are doing price data and we can now generate random numbers so that’s pretty cool. I guess like next we are going to totally revolutionize the banking, finance, and insurance industries so look out for that in the future.

You're like so random. I'm sure all your friends are like, "she's so random."
