BCH is bitcoin with a bigger blocksize (more transactions allowed every 10 minutes) which lowers transaction fees, User experience and sustainability. BTC is not sustainable long term with 1MB blocks.

Essentially its a better bitcoin, however most of the crypto community is tribal manchildren that can't look at the tech, and would rather "HODL" the coin they already have and trash the any other as a scam. BCH is therefore cheaper, but is essentially the same as BTC but better.
