Why do people use anything more than 5x Leverage?
Face it. you DON'T know the bottom. you may guess close, which is good and fine on low leverage, but not on degenerate leverage.

Buying $1000 of BTC at 4.2k with 3x leverage, and with 1000$ will net you $18,000 in profit if you sell at 16K peak of rally, or even if you sold at 10k would have made you around $6k.

That's a lot of money and for almost no risk.

Why the fuck would you use any more leverage unless you are a literal monkey or so poor you only have $40 to trade with?

It is.

If you trade with degenerate leverage, you will over the long period end up with exactly nothing or negative balance.

considering that using 3-5x leverage is more likely to result in you actually keeping your money and not losing it, that is a great sum.

I used 1000$ as an example anyway brianlet. substitute that with 10,000 initial margin or whatever the fuck you want. your next trade after the example in OP could now be a $10,000 short with 3x leverage, and if it crashed to 10k again, you'd net yourself almost $40,000 in profit, by which point most brainlets with higher leverage have broken even or reverted back to a loss.
