To be fair, look at the auto loan 90 day delinquency rates. Hell, even credit card 90 day delinquency rates have been on the rise for the last year or two. The banks with the most exposure to sub-prime debtors are going to be eating some sizable losses if unemployment remains as high as the CBO is forecasting for the next few years. That's on top of the various other markets (>7% mortgage forbearance, >12% online loan impairment). But it's on them, once again. Reigning that in going forward with stricter credit should be seen as healthy, but will certainly prolong the recovery.

But yeah, people don't know that loophole, the market can enter free fall after 3PM and trading will not be halted regardless of how low it goes.
