You're just going to have to accept the store of value meme, everybody wants bitcoin, everyone wants to buy the dip, a global pandemic hysteria could only bring it down to 5k (~3.7 very briefly), you have stake in history, the first cryptocurrency.

It is both under- and over valued. Without a solid base to fall back on, apart from speculation, crypto's are nothing but ponzi schemes where you hope to sell your Monopoly money to somebody else who sees more value in having said "asset" than cash or another asset. The value of a bitcoin or other crypto is as high as what some idiot wants to pays for it. This changes over time and as such the value heavily fluctuates over time.

Without inherent value crypto's will never be undervalued but it is also difficult to say it is overvalued.

will actally start to have effect by next halvening or two. The less block rewards, the less secure it becomes as have been proven. Btw it will be priced in at least 100 years before you dummies, no one want to invest in a dying system, that more and more people find out is a fraud. U fucckers are so dumb

how does undercutting and selfish mining works in a transaction fees scenario?

It´s common knowledge by the smart people in crypto that bitcoin will not work without block rewards. Former core devolper Mike Hearn has even admitted it.

This this and this.
But people are too retarded to understand.
Bitcoin basically already served his cause.
Built to provide a framework which is being used to build on.
Better DLT technology with REAL adoption will be coming soon, it will literally change a lot and bitcoin will only be known for being the first cryptocurrency being traded because of "muh store of value" even though it never was intended for that as well. You can't make this shit up.

>> No.19010005

>>19009942
Hmmmm, first off transaction fees which are volatile which basically kills using bitcoin in a broader sense. Plus mining pools which are already over 50% stationed in china so there is no decentralization anymore as well, lmfao.
God, there is so much bad shit about bitcoin I would take ages to list them all, to be honest.
Also bitcoin DOESN'T SCALE. Do you know what that means? TO SCALE. Cryptocurrency has to scale, cryptocurrency has to be able to work out ALOT of tps (transactions per second) or else it wont work at all.
2. Everything about bitcoin is shit. It's not quantum-resistant, the network, hash rates. Do I have to spoonfeed you even more?

low iq apes think that the world will continue to ignore better blockchain alternatives forever, just because bitocin was first lmao. Bitcoin is only surviving on hype, and that hype is slowly running out. For a blockchain to actually be successful long term, it needs as many usecases as possible. Bitcoin is slow, expensive and without smart contracts. Anyone with a brain can see where this is going.

According to bitcoin maximalists, bitcoin will still be on top, even if a blockchain with breaking new technology that dwarfs it in every way, comes out. And even if this blockchain gets used by thousands of bussinesses worldwide, bitcoin will still stay on top forever according to buttcoiners, only because bitcoin was the first, hahhaha. What a great logic

>> No.19010075

>>19010054
Lmao, so true. I can't agree more. At least some people on /biz/ still have their brains.

>> No.19010146

The less block rewards, the more attractive selfish mining and undercutting becomes. And it will happen, which makes bitcoin security under a constant threat all the time. Basically it doesn´t become fully trustless anymore, as miners will have better incentives to not prioritize certian transactions and not always build on the longest chain. It makes it a clusterfuck, where there always is a contant struggle between miners, and the security will suffer.

Not to mention that bitcoin is trending to become more and more centralized. Crypto is also the most manipulated major market in the world, which is pretty bad, and it will stay this way, unless there is mainstream adoption of the tech, which won´t happend with bitcoin because there is no reason for it to happen.
