A blockchain as the solution to the oracle problem is a contradiction in terms.

A blockchain's only purpose is to provably establish what the truthful state of a system is.

If there could be an oracle, which could establish the truthful state of a system, you wouldn't need the blockchain to begin with. You'd simply have the oracle tell you what the current truthful state of the system is. No need for the gigabytes of history and quadrillions of CPU-cycles to verify the history. Just poll the latest state from the oracle.

Thus, blockchains as a solution to the oracle problem is an inherent contradiction.
