Coronavirus is good for stocks because it kills poor people and companies that aren’t listed on stock market. Big companies profit from plummeting labor costs and consuming the sales from lost small businesses. Also all the money the fed gave away has to go somewhere. The inflation alone will drive up equity and real asset prices, after a 12-18 month period of deflation (mostly in consumer goods or things that poor people buy only). Home values even will go up since poor people don’t buy homes.

Because the stock market is the only metric to measure American success that matters to our President, it is clear that coronavirus deaths and 25% unemployment are actually very good things to happen to America because they will benefit stocks.
