Saw this ad (pic related) for a free WW2 liberation memmorial coin in honor of Dutch/Canadian relations.
Googled reviews of this shop, many complaints that they keep sending stuff and then demand payment.
This is probably the fourth scam I've come across in Dutch coin market. I assume mostly old people get tricked into giving these people money. There's also a legit shop that is specially designed for retired boomers except three times what you'd pay in other shops.

Honestly there’s nothing to worry about. If the economy stays relatively not insane, you won’t need your PMs. If things go crazy and safe havens like PMs gain 200%+ even 100oz of silver and/or just a few of gold will be enough to survive at least although perhaps not make it in the conventional sense.

Reason silver and gold aren’t where they should be vs fiat $US is that mainstream investors don’t believe we are going to get consumer price inflation.

You can definitely find silver at cheaper than $19.55 per ounce. Cheapest I can find right now from an online dealer is $18.72/oz. Also r/PMsforsale has some really good offerings occasionally.

The argument against plat is that it's a metal primarily used for industrial use. Something like 2-3% of available plat is used for bullion. It's just not viewed as a precious metal the same way that silver or gold is. There's just not the same historical precedence for it. Maybe that will change but who knows. Some people speculate that the price of silver is artificially low because the big players like JPMorgan are manipulating it (which theyve been caught doing). Silver supposedly has more potential gains if the price shifts back to something more realistic.

Most people would agree you want a little diversity in your stack. Your stack is your stack tho and when it comes to investing - do not feel obligated to listen to what other people think. Inform yourself by listening to the experts but draw your own conclusions.

Buy house first, then stack metals. If you can't buy a house that's fine. But as soon as you can you probably should.

I might be wrong, I can't tell the future. I only know which performed better over the last 30 years, houses or silver. And even that doesn't matter, if my house went down in value I'd still be ahead because it forced me to save and it eliminated rent. Not everyone can benefit from that, but I sure could have. And eventually did. Just wish I had done it sooner is all.
