Has anyone or does anyone know someone who got their real-estate license JUST to avoid paying closing costs on a house?

Seems like a big brain move

at least in ny you can't just get a real estate license without a sponsoring brokerage. so then you'd have to work it out with the brokerage.

This. If you want to save money listing your house, look into non- Realtor flat fee listing services. Where I live they have packages for as little as $1500.
