Shot up to $50 for the reason of pic. All the other coins being shilled here are just pump and dump scams, but ETH has legitimately excellent prospects. It's been reported in various national/international newspapers like the NYT. Backed by massive companies etc. Expected to overtake bitcoin sometime this year.

It fell from $55 down to $40 probably because it jumped up too quickly and was just reverting back to the average upward trend. Now it's going back up. Will be over $50 by tomorrow, without a doubt.

He was a pumperbumper who turned a trick on a skeezer named Geroniho and suffered in drinkin' a case of Natural Ice while blastin' diarrhea all over his crib; he was the bad king. Rodney was a bull dagger cootchie ripper who was geeking on baking soda while flab stabbing some ho in the back of a hoopty. I'm monitoring it very closely as I'm sure many others are doing. You're talking out of your ass. ETH is hands down the best crypto investment. There's only room for one king and it's either going to be ETH or BTC. BTC has had its turn at the top, it paved the way for crypto but now there's something superior in every sense. That's Ethereum. Not only has it peaked the interest of umpteen financial journalists, just as bitcoin did, but it's gone a step further and peaked the interest of the big dogs, the ones that will actually back it financially. I've been coming to /biz/ for quite a while and although most of the stuff on here is horse shit, we've struck gold. And you know the best thing about it? We know before almost anyone else.

Yeah? Look at this, it's from a minute ago. These walls don't exist over a period of several days if there isn't someone heavily influencing the price, probably some form of marketing strategy because ETH was always linked to BTCUSD prices.

Obviously people are pumping money into ETH and others are trying to damage BTC via XBU. I still want ETH to succeed for a bit, because it'll crash BTC prices.

However, BTC will succeed longterm because it has superior technology, simple as that. I've researched eight hours yesterday and all altcoins are shit and driven by shady profit people more than technological superiority.

Both Buterin and Zamfir(?) warned about ETH. Not only that the technology is in its infancy, it's not very safe and the scalability is just as bad or worse as BTC. Once those problems will show up, money will flow back into BTC.

I was favouring ETH just a few days ago, but I was oblivious to the technical side of this gambling.

Honestly anon it's difficult to say. No funds because it takes ages to deposit I'm guessing? If so, that sucks and we all know that feeling.

Next friday I think a conservative estimate would be $60 as people are starting to dump their scamcoins to buy back into ETH. Although I certainly wouldn't be surprised if it hits something around $75.

Don't worry though, you can't view Ethereum like all the pump and dump scams that have plagued this board for the past week. Ethereum is a long term investment so even if you buy in at $60-$80 it'll still give you excellent returns in the long run.

The thing is that the price of BTC is based on speculation, but at least it's open source and fair.

Everything that's not BTC is shady and there are people involved who want to create a second BTC but with marketing and not technological superiority.

So clueless people like me would think that it's a viable alternative, but it's not.

If you ride it anyway, you're dependent on the success of those shady people. I made €120 with ETH, but I'm angry that I've been shilled at thinking that it's an actually good coin.

It's partially IRS's fault for expecting people to manually log every single taxable transaction on literally everything. If you have BTC on coinbase Libra can automatically calculate your capital gains tax. Furthermore, you can deduct your loses from your income tax. Of course you can always use a VPN and make sure your accounts can't be traced back to you, there's always that path.

Just know if you connect your CoinBase account to your bank account, you will 100% need to report your transactions to the IRS unless you want to get fucked up the ass

A few days ago I bought 250 worth of ethereum (my bank limit), and then I logged in a little while after that and I saw like a $10,000 limit so I went and bought $750 more. Then it went back and told me I just had the $250 limit. Both transactions still show as pending but I think I glitched the system or something. Does StorJ really yield useful amounts of money?
I have an unused 3 TB drive in a server connected with 1 Gigabit/s

really depends on electrical prices and internet caps

it ends up being pretty similar to mining in the right circumstances, a hard drive would pay for itself in 12-18 months

you'll only be making a few bucks a month on 3tb

Strongly considering converting all of my BTC to ethereum right fucking now, should I? I was hedging before but watching ethereum clawing up so fast in terms of marketcap is making me reconsider. Not sure how much this is a calculated vs emotional decision though.

It will definitely go up compared to fiat if that's your main concern. It will probably go up against bitcoin as well unless they actually manage to get their shit sorted and improve it. Main thing that's making me hesitate is that I dislike not hedging my bets.

Good. Then hold tight and enjoy the ride. After buying a dip there's a feeling of stress for a couple of days, until it goes up.

My stress went away today. :)

I got out of BTC earlier in the week, stumped some on more ETH and took the rest back in cash. I don't know what to do because of the fork.
