When I was growing up I hated red delicious because they were always soft or mealy idk, just never enjoyed them. Braeburn was king.
Then when I went to college and they only had delicious I found out they weren't pieces of shit and have since enjoyed them regularly.

I like the jazz apple myself. It's got that nice firm crisp texture, good mix of sweet and tart, and quintessential apple taste. Plus the skin isn't thick and shitty like the red delicious.

I am trying to discover this apple I had years ago. It was a darker red on the outside, normal yellowish color on onside. But when you took a bite, there was bits of a "red speckles" around where your teeth bit into the apple that speckled on the yellow innards. Any idea which apple this is? Please help me identity this apple.
