Lyft is 100% committing fraud. I live in the Bay Area and fly weekly for work. Both Uber and Lyft have told me they are getting only 1-3 rides a DAY. Fort Luaderdale usually gets 55,000 passengers a day and yesterday they got 3,500. 5 years ago they were an amazing growth stock because they gave the old CEO the boot and new leadership revitalized the company, I would expect that to continue if not for corona, but if we're headed into recession I doubt they'll grow. Overpriced plastic soldiers aren't as popular in a bad economy.
Local stores closing isn't as much of an issue for them because they operate their own stores, and they're everywhere.
They've destroyed much of their competition in their space as well, which is great for stability, but having so much market share leaves less room to grow outside of growing the market, although they've proven very good at attracting new people to the hobby.
They won't die, or particularly contract unless they manage to royally fuck up 40k like they did AoS. AoS turned out well financially in the long run, but it was a flop on arrival, which didn't matter because they made bank on The End Times, and WFB wasn't too popular at that point anyway.
They're safe, but I'd be surprised if they grew much in the next year or two.
