Accounting question that has to do with precious metals.

So I run a small business selling collectible coin “grab bags,” and this year I’m on track to do about 70k in gross sales but hopefully I can scale past 100k this year. This requires me to buy a LOT of old constitutional silver and gold coins, among other collectibles of course.

Anyway, I’m in college and I really only need about $1200 a month to pay for my rent, utilities, car insurance, groceries, fraternity dues, phone, and live comfortably. But I’m profiting about $2500 a month from this alone.

My idea was to use this excess income to stack more bullion and write it off as me just buying more inventory where I would then just...not send it out and put it in my personal stash.

Would this work? I don’t see how it would be an issue. It’s money I would have anyway.

It’s all valuable stuff numismatically, but the dealers just can’t sell it for whatever reason. Then I buy for their breakeven price and include it in a grab bag.

So, a lot of it is foreign silver. I just bought a Troy pound of 1948 Venezuelan Bolivars, for example. .830 silver coins that are worth something numismatically but probably not something you’d pick out in a store.

Yes. The fooil reacts with the baking soda. Line the pan with foil, put some baking some in it, lay coin on baking soda, pour boiling water in, add a tad more baking soda. Then it it cool, can move it around a bit if u want with silverware or something just be careful not to scratch it. Once the water cools a bit, grab the coin and rub the baking soda/water in a bit. You want some nitrile or latex gloves. After rubbing it I dunk it back in the warm water/mixture then I run it under cool water from the faucet. Can repeat as often as you need

Well for starters I’m not asking you to buy any, nor do I want to dox myself.

One thing I do to guarantee the value myself is send an itemized, colorized bill with every sleeved coin you’re receiving with every grab bag. It keeps me honest and also helps me keep track of my inventory.

each bag has the following, with the “x” representing the number based on price:
> x proof coins
> x graded, slabbed coins
> x silver coins
> x historic US coins
> x historic world coins
> x banknotes(US + world)
> x assorted coins

Now on its own that would sound quite sketchy and vague. However, I’ve developed a somewhat stringent criteria for each category as follows:
>Proof
Self explanatory. Must be in BU condition and come from the mint as a proof coin. I cross reference the year of minting with official records to make sure said coin actually had proofs that year.

>Graded/slabbed coins
This means the coin itself has been graded and slabbed by a top 3 grading company(PCGS/NGC/ANACS - No INB shit)

>Silver coins
It MUST be at least .650 silver. One coin that keeps getting sold in grab bags is the later Mexican Peso, which is only .100 silver and the rest is brass. That won’t be included.

>Historic US coins
This includes any US coin that is no longer in circulation/production, with the exception of wheat cents. It technically includes old US silver, but that would fall under the more exclusive Silver category since it’s 90%. This is where I include pennies, nickels, 2/3 cent pieces, et cetera. And since wheat pennies are so cheap I don’t include them in this category.

>historic world coins
Same as the last definition, but for foreign coins. I set a cut-off date of 1960 for it to count as “historic.” Any modern trash later won’t be included.

>banknotes
Self explanatory. A personal favorite of mine are Silver certificates.

>Assorted coins
Poundage. Anything I find interesting that wouldn’t fit in another category.

So for example - say you have a 1938 Jefferson nickel. It might be old, but it’s the exact same composition as a currently circulating nickel. It’s worth five cents. I’ll never include that in a grab bag.

To take it a step further - a Jefferson war nickel, which is 40% silver and not the same composition of a nickel still in circulation - would fit the criteria for “US historic”, but would fall short of the “silver coin” category due to its low silver content.

Brief history:

There are three distinct eras that define our national coinage history: Provincial era (1680 - 1806), Napoleon era (1806 - 1813), and Kingdom era (1813 - now).
Before Napoleon, the Netherlands existed as The United Netherlands, consisting of 7 different provinces. Each of these provinces were responsible for minting national currency. These featured a shield with a lion and on the other side Pallas Athena with a bible.
Napoleon standardized our money and put his own face on our coins, instead of Athena.
As soon as our kingdom was independent, our own king was minted on coins, but overall the same or similar standards were used that Napoleon introduced.

Then we had three kings. Willem 1 (1813 - 1840), Willem 2 (1840 - 1849) and Willem 3 (1849 - 1890). Besides their face being minted on coins, each of them introduced small adjustments to our currency to better suit our economy. A Willem coin is significantly more valuable due to historic value, with Willem 1 coins going for 1000s of euros on the market today. Willem 2 and 3 coins are also more expensive than successive coins, but in the order of 10's of euros, far more affordable.
After our kings we had three queens.
Wilhelmina (1890 - 1948), Juliana (1948 - 1980), and Beatrix (1980 - 2013).
Under Wilhelmina, silver money was still standard. Notably, she got crowned at 11 years old, and 4 different coins of her were minted according to her age, from childhood, to adolescence, to adulthood, to aged.
Under Juliana, silver was gradually replaced with nickel, and by the late 60's no more silver coins were produced. From the 70's onward however, silver was reintroduced on commemorative coins, and they were legal tender, and therefor minted in fairly high quantities.

If you're going to do this form a C-Corp.
Reason being you can sell C-Corp stock after you've owned it for 5 years, with no federal capital gains tax, for up to $10m per shareholder.
So you can stack gold and silver in your c-corp tax free as inventory purchases, then just sell the company in 5 years for the value of the gold and silver. Unless you have more than $10m stacked, which is a high class problem.

It's really the incoming zeitgeist, more and more ppl, even few normans, are getting in PM while the kike economy defiance is now absolute. The only way for a strong, equitable and solid monetary system, where you can't dilute the value of money, quite the contrary actually, a strong economy will make an even stronger money to back it up.

I have to be fucking careful with what I say, but basically a ton of mid tier exploration firms are all fraudulent front companies for organized crime groups in Canada and from China. They buy up garbage mineral claims, explore them taking on massive losses to "investors" who are just members of the same group buying things on credit or prepaid cards. No, you are talking about the supply of dollars to physical silver. Essentially without the fake and gay paper market the real price of silver should reflect an ounce of silver being worth 2500 dollars at current demand.

If paper silver was to collapse and silver to be valued at its actual amount bread would remain the same (barring hyperinflation) that said If there was hyperinflation you could see bread at 150$ but your hourly wage would then be something like 900$ an hour. If we go back to a PM based system the average daily pay would be 1/10 an ounce of silver and bread and other goods would reflect this. Essentially bread is about 1/10 an hour of your average workers wage and will always remain so barring some sort of massive supply shortage.
