Do you think there might be a price drop when people have less disposable income?

You have to understand anon, it makes no difference what you're buying and selling. All that matters is multiplying your money.

Can you even trust those boxes to not be opened and resealed at this point? And where is the best place to buy one? I don't trust ebay

I got 2 base set booster boxes. I wanted to buy 10 but never got round to it.. Now I am buying vintage booster boxes from other franchises. The way I see it, it is pretty much like crypto. People see Bitcoin soar in price, they then look further afield and buy alt coins for gains.. There are some other card games that should rise in price after the stratospheric rise in Pokemon etc.

-

There could well be a price drop, but in the long term I think they are a good investment. I won't be selling mine, don't want to risk missing a re-entry.

If they do drop significantly, should be a good buying opportunity. As they will only become rarer with time due being opened, also Millennial's are getting older, more money etc.

Though if all the markets and Bitcoin, gold etc go to shit they would get hit most likely. I would expect more of a lag with them in comparison to more liquid assets though.

100 percent very dangerous now. Especially with the more expensive boxes.

If you do buy, try to look out for boxes that have good provenance/being sold by a reputable person.. It's like in the art/antiques world, provenance matters as fakes are made of all valuable things.. Also, you have to trust your own judgement, so research etc is important.

I bought mine on eBay in 2017. eBay can be good, but you do need to be careful as with anywhere else at this point. As mentioned above, you do have to look out for fakes. - There are also private dealers that have websites, also auctions such as Heritage but I do not have experience with these people.

Whats do kids/teenagers like to collect nowadays? Figuring what they collect now and keeping it till they have disposable income could be a decent idea

I know lego was a big thing recently.. For one though I will say, new Pokemon cards are still being produced and kids are playing with them.
