Also I have family in Spain and they get "more" time off but they have no choice of when to take it. So the government dictate when you can go on vacation, and since the entire country goes at the same time it's a total cluster fuck. Why do I need a multicultural chinatown if I can just step into a teleporter, have everything translated into chink via an app... hell maybe even turn into a chink myself for a moment because my body adapts to the different geographical location (yes, you'd turn into a nigger when visiting africa)...

This is because a strictly “business first” mindset has crept in to the majority of corporations operating within the United States.

It’s quite a conundrum because from a business standpoint, you want to increase revenue and cut costs. This means pursuing practices like outsourcing, automation, etc. that eliminate domestic jobs in the long term.

However, the VAST majority of people are workers, and so we also see the importance of things like proper work/life balance, employee benefits, and decent salaries.

Now at some point, you hope that these two ideals intersect and a business can be successful while also valuing the people that arguable make it successful. However, more times than not, this is not the case.

Just today my company had a meeting with its developers about how automating processes should be the number one priority moving forward. The goal is to make processes more “efficient” to increase revenue and cut cost, ultimately eliminating domestic job in the United States and outsourcing and menial task that cannot be fully automated to India.

So the situation is a US business, making money off of US customers and businesses, does not want to pay US citizens and would rather pay for cheap labor in India? Are you starting to see the problem?
