DYOR - potential upwards of $3tn on-chain.

Blockchain run by Shell, EDF, EON, Total, Engie, PTT and hundreds more.

Now the dust has settled, I want to emphasise how fucking massive EWT is.

The largest energy companies in the world have all got together and said “we need to build something to harness the power of DLT”, together with the Energy Web Foundation they made this happen.

The Energy Web Chain is a platform, very similar to eth - you could say it’s the eth of energy - that anybody can build dapps for.

The testnet is averaging 3m transactions a month and it’s only been live 9 months. The mainnet already has a dapp deployed called Origin which aims to balance the grid using hundreds of millions of devices (DIDs) which will all be put on-chain. Origin is a dapp created by Engie - one of the biggest energy companies in the world with $160bn revenue. All these huge energy companies have committed to using Origin and they expect to have a third of all Wind, Solar and biomass producing devices on that system by 2030, over 250m assets on one dapp, in a sector that is predicted to be with $13tn by 2050.

1/3 of $13tn a year industry sounds ambitious, remember this is the goal set by the energy companies that created this chain with EWF, they don’t need to go and win these clients or partnerships, the partners built EW Chain and EWT!!

The figures are mind blowing - 250m devices on one dapp is more than the entire electricity production capacity of the US.

I want to emphasise that these aren’t promises or pie in the sky ambitions, the companies that want to achieve these things on chain are already the biggest in the world and already have a vested interest in the platform THEY BUILT.

Pros:
> "SEC approved" (whatever this means)
> Various large partners
> Assets on chain meme (if you don't know Jibrel)

Cons:
> Assets on chain meme (if you remember Jibrel)
> Chart is about to collapse
> Be the greatest fool
> Price was $0.50 one month ago. They tell /biz about it yesterday at $2.10. Really makes you think.
> Energy tokens are played out
> Not ERC-20 (yes, this is a disadvantage these days for alts. It means fewer exchanges, harder storage, general less willingness to handle it, and overall therefore fewer buyers)
> on one utterly shit exchange that went down for 24hrs yesterday
> questionable orderbook
> *$200 mil cap already*
> "Uh it's ONLY $50mil cap really they totally promise never to sell the other 75% of tokens, bro"
> Donnie and Cobra are the ones behind this sudden shill effort (see: Faghunters telegram). Known scammers and backstabbing scumbags, hated by all. They've already 8x'ed sats on this and now need to dump it. Pro tip: if you see anything shilled by these guys, the r/r is not in your favour.
