If you are truly interested in the history of Christianity reserch it the Arab Gnostics like Banu 'Amilah who were loyal to Byzantium fought Islam fiercely when they learned the Gnostic stories of Christ were mentioned in the Quran, such as Christ speaking as a baby they converted to Islam in mass.
