There was this one PC game I played in highschool when I had an entrepreneur class that was made by H & R block and it was literally a make it simulator where you have to buy insurance and balance college and working to afford rent and getting better jobs as you work your way up to the top you also can take out loans and stuff but if you don't make it you just die and have to start over. Anyone know what game that is?

i've beat this game about 10 times for me and my friends and by "beat" i mean achieved a net worth of over $500mil so here it goes..start off as a cashier with $10 an hour on weekdays, get data entry specialist degree, become that job and then get IT management job by doing the course for that on the weekends, same thing goes for bachelors degree which will make you Vice President IT, earning about $50 an hour...you will quickly get $100k a year and get to the threshold where you can buy houses, watch market very carefully, it goes from $400k for cheapest house up to $4mil down to $600k up to $6mil so on and so forth. Buy a house and watch it 10x in value, once this happens you can buy 3 houses next time theyre low, make sure to sell when they start decreasing. after selling 3 houses you will be able to buy every property in the game and every year you will make about $100mil+, invest in bonds when the housing market reaches complete bottom to maximize profit and when market is decreasing leave it in savings account...there is a bunch of tiny stuff that goes into it but i can get to $500mil in less than 4 hours at this point

If you're looking for a peer to peer social business sim, go with Eve Online. It's an MMO Quickbooks.
If you're looking for something less social but an equally in depth economic simulation, try Stellaris. (Best in class storyline, too.)
If you like to optimize for lowest-total-costs by creating systems greater than the sum of their parts, try Gratuitous Space Battles, Human Resource Machine, or while:true;learn.
If you just want a low-impact dopamine source because number go up, try Democracy 2 or 3, or Big Pharma.
