It was very hot and crazy deal so we had to move very fast and just forgot about all those "secret stashes" because moving was very chaotic.

Few weeks ago we were sitting at kitchen, talking how do we go through all what's going on right now and parents were like "STOP!!!" and began to look around for these "stashes". Eventually in few hours we found everything and moved that to gold. Would be not funny to find it 5 years later when currency will be obsolete lol

buying nuggets on ebay is a racket, go look for other places that sell them like this https://www.nuggetsbygrant.com/collections/all

Gold nuggets are raw ore of gold. Always remember that. They are not 99.99% pure. The best your probably going to find is 94% pure. If you want a legit shiny rock though that looks nice on your desk or in your collection or as jewellery go for them. Each nugget is different and never the same.

We took some furniture, books and other stuff from old place when moving to new one, and cash was there. We pretty much lived with that and absolutely forgot about it, that's why surprise money went to gold to continue "store that value".

Where I live we had like 4 different currencies in last 30 years so people here are used to that paper money changes from time to time and you'd better not to rely on it too much.
In regards to euro, can't say much because its very young currency (it's less than 20 years old) and in many places here people still do mental calculations like "oh this used to be 100 marks / forints / liras / rubles, now it's X euros, okay". I don't see any of europeans concerned about that, if euro will die people will adjust in two months to new papers, unlike people in US who can't imagine any pricing besides USD (can be wrong about this, sorry for confusion if so)

valuation is swinging all over the place and it really depends on where that house is, the land value, proximity to nearby places. i can probably find land for sale in the middle of nowhere for 1 oz. gold. having said that, i would have a huge task ahead of me in building and getting building permits to make that land livable. buying a house that others have lived in feels like a bad idea. just learn how to build your own house man. people do it. there's a tribe in a highlands of vietnam where the men must learn how to build a house as a rite of passage.

Yeah but its going to inverse so hard the other way because of so much money in the system and billions more people on the planet.

An average home price will have to drop to like 20k or something, when now it is currently like 170k. Gold gets revalued to 20k/oz and it buys you a home.

There would literally be no reason to buy gold and silver if we had a dollar collapse and you simply just maintained your wealth while main street is burning to the ground.

I mean what do you think is going to happen? You put your entire net worth into gold, dollar collapses, and you are going to go about your day, paying your mortgage, buying 10$/gas/....and go thru the starbucks drive thru to get your frappacino as roving gangs of niggers are gangbanging white housewives in the street 100 yards away from you?

Nonsense.

Thats when you buy assets for literally a penny on the dollar for what it cost you to buy the gold and silver in the current fiat paradigm. Its going to be a HUGE shift, where you make out good like a bandit with even a little bit of gold and silver.

There are enough people in america who have gold and silver, where you can start rebuilding society....but all those stackers....in reality dont have that much....i mean i would bet 90% of people who own gold and silver and would consider themselves somewhat of a stacker have less than 500 ounces of silver and less than 5 ounces of gold.

So the situation HAS to be that someone with 100 ounces of silver or 2-3 ounces of gold has to become relatively much wealthier than those who lose all their savings in fiat and are destitute. Otherwise there is literally no point in even getting metals if it isnt going to be a relatively huge shift upwards compared to non metal holders.

I mean honestly...who gives a fuck if gold goes to 100k/oz and silver goes to 500$/oz in the current fiat paradigm when everything is melting down? I mean if the Dow collapses and people lose 95% of their net worth...and you now have 1 million dollars because silver shot up to 2000$/oz with your halfway decent 500 ounce silver stack....who cares? It isnt going to be like you can go out and buy a lambo and take some hot chick to the newest hottest restaurant.

You buy assets. You buy a harem. You buy dark black slaves, and prosper in a way that our forefathers prospered.

I wish that these porn companies like brazzers would have made porn shoots at some colonial looking home surrounded by fields...and have the male porn actor dress up with one of those wigs like george washington made and their colonial garb...and then they show some hot black mutt slave who is in the barn after a hard days work of picking cotton, then the male porn actor dressed up like thomas jefferson goes to the barn late at night and then brings her back to his suite in the main house and has her disrobe as he takes off his wig and colonial garb and then just fills her pussy with semen in his comfy bed.

This is the kind of "making it" scenario I have in my head when the dollar collapses.

I think 10 oz is reasonable to buy a modest house. That's assuming gold gets close to $20k/oz, which I don't think is unrealistic if you look at the dow gold ratio. It's hit close to 1 twice, Once in 1929 and the other time in 1980. A lot of people think it will even go below 1.

10 oz gold at $20k/oz means 200,000 dollars. Housing market is going to crash to, so prices will come down, so yes, I think it's completely realistic to be able to buy a house within the next 5 years for 10 oz of gold.

A basket composed of any great power fiat has too much political risk. It will almost certainly go back to gold.

There are way too many downsides in dollar. To accept it you have to decline all your rights and accept what US dictates you, as well as live under pressure of your country being canceled from global trade if they will see you as a threat

Or we can just close trading routes so you have to make 35,000km hook instead going straight through ocean. But we can open these routes if you will host our military base. (This happened with Japan)

It's just not worth to accept terms of this kind of histeric partner so why would we don't create some other payment system? Oh, here they are again, want to put sanctions on us because we don't use (((their))) currency. Okay guys let's get rid of that garbage and let it go

I mean I don't care because I do live outside US, just giving overall sentiment since looks like on your side of ocean people don't know that there are other mediums of exchange.

If indeed there will be default on treasuries held by China it will result very bad. However even fact that they ever told about it in public is putting USD in very victim position. For sure they will not default on this since it's suicide, however some massive beating is about to happen so better be prepared all over the world and have some real stuff

Yeah I’m not super familiar with the company structure but yeah I’ve heard of those names. Those are indeed gold mining companies. GDX owns those and other companies - so when you buy one share of GDX you own a sliver of Newmont, Barrick, etc. so you’re basically buying a basket of mining stocks. That should in theory give you similar returns with lower risk (say if Newmont goes bankrupt for unrelated reasons GDX will take a hit but won’t be worthless like if you just bought Newmont itself. there's a huge disconnect right now between spot and physical premiums. so you can't really use one to talk about the other. miners, mints and retail dealers also need to make a profit so absolutely no one is going to sell you at spot or near spot, unless they have a new buyer promo in which case it's generic bars anyway and that is their "loss leader" to get you to make an account and buy more later on. it worked with me and that's how i started buying from jmb when they offered beautiful sunshine mint eagle rounds as their "buy at spot". now that deal has evaporated since sunshine mints are seen as far more desirable.

spot gold and silver will tank again like in march but only if there's a massive tank in overall stawk markets. but it's tricky because further news about mine or mint closures is also going to mean lower supply and higher premiums. they're called premiums for a reason. the makers of these beautiful bars and coins also need to earn a living.

if you want to buy closer to le spot price then look into how to buy raw ore and raw nuggets.
