As the price of ETH rises, more and more people will be priced out of validating. Therefore, those looking to join pools will far outnumber the validators, which will cause the number of RPL needed in a deposit to go very low.

However, joiners will not wait in the queue forever for new validators, so capacity utilization will still fluctuate, which will necessitate that the RPL deposit be, at times, of such value as to be prohibitive of new validators.

But since there will be such a demand to join pools relative to the number of validators, it is not likely that the RPL:ETH ratio for deposits will ever go above 1:1.

So if the RPL deposit size is always small but at times needs to be of high value, that means the RPL price needs to, at times, be high.

Since the RPL deposit size is far more reactive than the RPL price to network conditions, this means almost all of the utilization control will be done by the deposit size and not price.

Well, if price isn't fluctuating very much, and it needs to at times be high, that means it will most likely just stay high.

here's my personal pasta on the matter

> RPL
> less than 2k holders per etherscan (true number because no centralized exchange)
> de facto eth 2.0 staking pool network token
> consensys backed (google consensys)
> silently developped for years (2016 !)
> devs too busy coding to do any marketing until july
> could very well be used by major exchanges who wish to keep eth decentralized to a maximum while making money in fees (think coinbase, but not binance for instance)
> has 99% chances to get seamlessly integrated into smartcontract wallets like https://Argent.xyz (huge userbase) which basically represent the future of crypto because they are both non-custodial and easy to use
> will be used by a lot of folks in any event because of its extremely soft Uniswap-like UX
> 99% reddit fags in still the dark about its existence
> literally a /bizcoin/ at this precise point in time
> a lot of ETH enthusiasts have heard about it but most still don't know you can buy it already

I still don't get it. There could be thousands of validators and still way too many RPL. How is the price going to go high unless there's literally 100s of thousands of validators?

100k validators translate to only 1.6M eth (from node owners)
1M validator nodes are possible

like it or not, fudders, RPL is going to be the network that helps ETH stay decentralized

RPL will be integrated in Argent wallet and other smart contract wallets which are the future of crypto (even coinbase acknowledges it)

it will unironically be known as the de facto way to stake ETH w/o being a sysadmin

anon, face it : nobody really wants to keep their funds on coinbase and or binance. even if their fees are a bit lower. normie or not. coinbase already knows and they might integrate RPL. screencap this.

Coinbase is the biggest tezos baker, normies don't mind keeping it on coinbase, nor do even some bizraelis

Coinbase takes some off the top tho
People will use rpl if the fees are lower

Then why are more people using coinbase than the lower-fee alternatives with tezos?
>>18828697
So this means even if there were 1M validators, the price of RPL would still be (relatively) low?

I’m not saying that people won’t use it, I’m saying that some people will move their eth out of coinbase. People who are lazy or unfamiliar with the space will use coinbase for sure though

We all know rocketpool is building uniswap into the node so an eth staker going to pickup rpl at whatever price it is in a few clicks. They aren't going to care its $10

What's been happening for the last few weeks is whales selling make-it stacks to anons. The whales have held this shit since ICO, and aren't even that far in the green yet.

RPL hasn't even begun to pump yet.

Tezos is a fuckin joke that doesn't take decentralization seriously.
Eth has been working on truly decentralized PoS for years now
RPL will be an important part of the Eth 2.0 offering in terms of securing decentralization
