Precious metals are dumb because cryptos are superior forms of money and have way more price potential. Precious metals will maintain your wealth but crypto will actually bring you wealth. Precious metals are only appealing to boomerfags who already have plenty of fiat saved up and want to maintain its value during the depression. They’ll never be widely used forms of money again though. Crypto has replaced gold/silver in that sense.

>> No.18812237

Batchads, I have a question.

How does the rim of your batboi look? Mine is not beveled, it actually looks pretty rough like it was plasma cut or something. There are 4 little nubs 90 degrees apart around the rim, like little sprue marks. All of my memebats look like this.

Are there any "Retail Price" trackers for gold?
There's the spot price, which tracks futures contracts prices per ounce. But even with futures contracts you can't actually get 1 oz at spot price, you HAVE to buy 100 ozs at a minimum. So the spot price is only the price per ounce, of 100 ounces.
If you want to buy 1 oz, you have to go through a retailer, who usually charge a premium. Is there anything tracking the retailer ask price for an ounce of gold the way futures contracts tracks the spot price?

Nope, nothing. They would rather you didn't do the math.

For the first time I have seen, dealers are offering above spot price for silver. It's happening.....the final disconnect.

it implies that scotiabank doesn't have enough phyyzzzical bullion in case investors demand delivery or want to buy. basically many of these fuckers are trading paper derivatives that aren't backed by actual silver. in general it's called naked shorting: you sell an asset electronically AKA the paper agreement of it, without actually having any of the underlying asset.

you can short stocks the same way, and it comes with limitations and margin requirements. let's say i have $10,000. i want to naked short aapl stock. i do it. the trade goes through. i basically sold aapl stock without owning the shares. i'm betting that the price will go down so i can cover the short by simply buying the same amount i shorted but at a lower price later. this closes the trade. if the price goes up i'm fucked and lose money and have to return the borrowed shares.

all these big bank twats are shorting silver without actually owning any. it works out if the price drops. they get squeezed if the price goes up. we suspect that JPmorgan is one of the big players who have enough silver to cover their short selling activities. you sound new so check the stock market today and follow-up on why it's down. there's just too much paper floating around and not enough assets to back it up.

platinum became popular as white gold if i recall, given that i have a sister who got married and got a white gold ring. so whilst it is an industrial metal it is also heavily used in JEWelry such as high ticket wedding rings. if you look at trends, this is going down, and some are opting for the more traditional gold wedding bands. so in my opinion, i would not give a single shit about platinum since there's more gain potential with silver and gold.

you might want to look into whether there's superior characteristics of platinum that makes it better than silver, e.g. it might be corrosion resistant. when people share rumors about future tech they reference silver and i never hear about platinum being important for tech.

Spot price is for paper silver - ETFs and futures.
A major bullion bank "Scotia-something" was unable to deliver on gold Comex bars in March. Once that BS is settled they are exiting the bullion market.
Silver tends to follow the same trends as gold - not always but mostly.
The high premium you're seeing is the disconnection between paper and physical.

Does anyone know where I can buy silver coins in bulk as close to spot as possible?

Don’t care about the condition, but I need them to be

>at least 51% silver
Any good ideas for what I should look for?

Currently on my list are
>merc dimes
>barber coinage
>balboas
>wire kopeks
>silver centimes
>silver shillings
>US/Philippine centavos/pesos
Any others I should add to the list? I can’t seem to find ANY of those (other than the US examples) in bulk.

For some context - I run a “grab bag” business and I promise anywhere from 1-10 silver coins in each package(depending on price). So, quantity over quality is the game here.

eBay was ideal for me because I didn't want to have to spend the 100 to get free shipping.
So a 1oz round with free shipping is a better deal than say a cheaper one from Apmex with 7$ shipping.

The ASE are the bullion coin of the country with the largest economy in the world and the issuer of the major reserve currency. That probably accounts for the bulk of its premium. You're doing fine with regard to your PM allocation (~16%). In these times of reckless central bank behavior and doubling down on idiotic, failed monetary policies, the risk of a currency crisis is higher than ever before with the exception of 1776 and 1861.

A person should allocation 10% - 30% of his cash hedged with precious metals. Being that you don't have a very high net worth, you probably should keep a bit more cash to enable you to pay for food, rent, utilities, etc. if you should lose your source of income.

Only mint in the world that you can order 1oz 2020 coins at normal premium with 1-2 week delivery (If in Australia) Once the cargo ships in about a month land in ports worldwide, the Aussie roo will be the cheapest coin on the market as they never raised premiums on any products.
They were able to keep operating due to the state Western Australia 1/3 size of the US with only 3 million people. It is so large that there are hundreds of KM of empty beaches. It also has some of the biggest open pit and other gold mines, so Perth Mint does not have to rely on taking delivery from (((Comex))) as it sources most of its gold and silver locally from mines it has contracts with.

Perth Mint is truly a based company
> Government owned but WA smart enough to let be privately run, it makes masive profit that gets paid back to Australians not kike or boomer shareholders
>PMGT, they have a gold token on ETH backed by 1oz gold, the full faith of the Australian government backs this, as coins are legal tender
>Perth Mint produces the blanks that US uses for Eagles, thats why all your perth mint coins are the exact same size as eagles.

I just put in an order for my batboi and some other stuff from my Trumpbux earlier this week. All bullion rounds/coins. Total of 33ozt for 650 before tax. Not too bad, right, Anons?

I'm already pretty good on Constitutional, so I'm adding bullion. Don't have the money to get into gold now, but my plan is to hold for a better G:S Ratio, and convert some of the silver to gold later.

Except unlike tulips, you can't just grow more silver.
