Perpetual emission means Monero will continue working in perpetuity, unlike bitcoin which will probably fail, which is why people including Peter Todd suggest that bitcoin needs to be fixed by adopting monero's tail emission. Of course that will never happen so bitcoin is doomed. Too bad, maxipad.
