It's an attempt at implementing a certificate of deposit in blockchain.

1. You swap ETH for HEX (through uniswap)
2. You send your HEX to a eth contract that time locks for however long you specify. (no middle man)
3. The longer you time lock, the larger the interest, and also the more hex you put in the larger the interest.
4. You can cancel your timelock at any time and get your hex back, but you'll forgoe your interest and depending on how early you did it you'll lose some of the principal too.

There's also a fixed pool of HEX that's available to bitcoin holders (prior to Dec 21). The unclaimed portion of that pool is distributed out in the "big pay day" Dec 21 this year.

Up to you anon. Most predictions put it anywhere from .01 to $1 end of year. Stake your coins and you can double the amount you bought, doubling your profit. I've been watching Richard Heart's livestreams for years. When he announced HEX is bought some when BTC was 3k USD, which happened to be the bottom. So I ended up recovering most of the money I had lost in the 20k crash. Now I'm all-in on HEX.

I don't quite understand why /biz/ can't wrap its mind around this token, because it's so fucking simple.

It's certificate of deposit and financial instrument. You can send it and receive it. Just like bitcoin, except there's an actual product: you can lock up your coins for some period of time (akin to a CD). People who don't lock their coins pay some fee in form of an inflation tax. People who lock up their coins pay less of a fee or even see a bit of an increase, depending on how long they lock up.

That's it.

How much is this worth? Simple: it could be worth as the CD market that it correlates with, and how much people use CD's.

HEX has a few thing going for it:
- The locking mechanism might help prevent panic dumping
- It's in the Ethereum ecosystem so it can automatically be used in all protocols that support ERC20
- It's grabs people's attention, if only because of its extravagant creator ("there is no such thing as bad publicity")
- Asia is still sleeping on it. Imagine if they ever FOMO on it.
