I'll treat myself to some time off probably. I don't have a lot of demand for luxury. Don't need a yacht, don't need a fancy car, don't need a private jet. Just knowing my bills are covered indefinitely and the peace of mind that comes with that is a luxury. I run my own business and right now the general operating philosophy is "stay lean and keep going forward." I'd like to be able to just take an entire week off, maybe even a month, where I don't think about work at all and can just legitimately treat myself. Turn off my alarm, take some time to smell the roses, and just be indulgent for a little bit because right now outside of these little rest stops at 4chan, I don't get to do too much of that. Peace of mind is the greatest luxury I could ask for.

Have you ever actually ridden a bike before? I've owned a Ninja 250 for the past two years and it's already faster than pretty much any cars on the road. Especially given the kind of roads I'll actually be riding on, I won't be able to use even a tiny percentage of a 650's power. And that's not even considering the different registration, insurance and maintenance costs. It's no different to saying that anything less than a Bugatti or a Koenigsegg just isn't enough. Remember that a 650 has pretty similar performance to most supercars.

I could tell you're an American. I ride my bike on Australian freeways regularly. I also don't break the speed limit (much), so a supercar beating me in a >100km/hr drag race isn't exactly a major concern for the bike which I ride to work. And yeah, even a 250 is faster than most cars. My car is a little bit faster than my bike, but it has a turbocharged 4L engine. Given that Australians (unlike Americans) often actually ride motorbikes as a method of transport rather than a toy, having something that's slower than a Bugatti is actually a reasonable tradeoff to make. I would like a faster bike though, and I'll probably buy a Z400 in the next year or two. But either way, this isn't the topic of the thread. Bring it to /o/ if you want to shitpost.
