Can a Tesla bull please explain to me why they have 1.2 billion in accounts receivable when customers pay the entire cost of the car upfront?

Is this shit fraud or what?

it's more than just a car company now. They sell solar panels and solar panel accessories. You can even get systems installed by Tesla. That being said, $800 is a little ridiculous

There is no way in hell they have 1.2 billion in accounts receivable from their other businesses (yet). It makes zero sense how they could have that much

Do you not understand how California tech companies work?
>Make a cool thing
>Create hype
>Hype incentivizes investment
>start saying other things that sound cool
>use creative accounting to hide the fact that you're not growing as fast as you projected
>investors think: well they made a cool thing once and everyone likes it, so people are bound to like the other cool stuff
>more investment
>more hype
>more investment
>more hype

and on and on and on. They never actually need to post a profit ever as long as they keep the hype train rolling
