You're not wrong -- I didn't get into LINK super early, and my cost basis is above $1, so there really isn't much more room for it to grow, esp. with its insane market cap right now. I think capital can be better deployed elsewhere for coins with higher growth potential.

Interview process all depends on what team you're joining. Mine was quite technical, not too different from a normal tech interview.

Work culture in my opinion isn't great. There isn't much accountability so many people scoot by under the radar while adding nothing of value, and PMs don't do a great job managing things. Things are decentralized to a fault, and the leadership isn't transparent. Glassdoor has accurate reviews.

That being said, I've never had a job with as much personal, self-driven freedom. Everyone is remote so it's not like you have to go into an office - I bummed around coffee shops literally around the world and loved it.

Blockchain for social justice is very much a real thing, and plays heavily into decentralization (i.e. bringing the power from centralized sources back to the people). If you don't see the connection you should reconsider your thinking skills.

Are you a fucking idiot? Or just really fucking stupid? Smart contracts remove the human component and blockchain tech allows for decentralized governance. What do you think will happen when someone creates a smart contract that recreates Uber, but without any platform fees other than the minimal costs to keep it going? What do you think is going to happen to all that money that would have gone to Uber otherwise that is now on the platform? Now apply that to all other thriving smart contract projects.

Complete garbage. Has zero value proposition. PoW is a consensus mechanism, not a token distribution method, so there's no reason to do PoW on a PoW chain.

>PoW is not a token distribution method
Why not? Can you justify it or is it just a dogma?
I understand Satoshi used PoW to fulfill both purposes. But why not abstract away network security with distribution if it's possible?
Do BTC miners do their work for network security or consensus? For 0xbtc these factors are non-issue. 51% attack means nothing and centralization won't be an issue as long as SHA3Solidity algorithm isn't broken

Not to mention a lot of interesting use cases can be developed due to it's ERC-20 nature.
I know I'm the one who asked this question but I think you haven't think through yet.

>> No.18704182

>>18704042
Sure, PoW can be used as a token distribution method. However I don't think its optimal to use it in this case, because of the electricity and fees it consumes. Ethereum is already secure, so why spend all those resources mining away?

Why bullish in linkpool ?

How does a noob go about and get a job in the crypto space? Is it all about “who you know”

>> No.18704229

>>18704193
>Why bullish in linkpool ?
I think its undervalued; people will want to stake their LINK somewhere, and linkpool is the leader right now (and I think it will remain the leader in the decentralized staking space). Also the markets are illiquid and that currently limits entry into the space, so money hasn't been flowing in like it has to other projects.

>How does a noob go about and get a job in the crypto space?
