From my observations, biological problems tend to be more difficult to tackle than physical ones. Let's use mat. sci. as an example. Materials science is a field that leads a lot of the recent advances we've seen in technology, and it is a thoroughly researched and well-understood field. There are certainly niche areas within the field that are prime for new research, but we're at the stage where we can use supercompute clusters to simulate new materials and their properties en-masse, isolate the interesting candidates, and then synthesize and characterize them. Straightforward, no difficult hurdles to jump through when testing or acquiring specimens, few risky side effects, high levels of repeatability and uniformity and therefore easy to falsify. Compare that to biology (excluding computational biologists, they're lifting up the field). I think a lot of physical science fields can be viewed in a similar light. While we're bounded by physics, with enough R&D, as long as it's physical, we can probably engineer a solution.

>cold fusion
It's worth nothing. The reason fusion is difficult to replicate on Earth is because it requires temperatures and pressures that are only constantly maintained in stellar-mass-sized objects. Even at those temperatures and pressures, fusion would not be possible following classical (Newtonian) mechanics. It's intrinsically rooted in a quantum mechanical phenomenon (tunneling) with a very low probability. The upside is that the sheer number of near-collision events occurring in a star's core is so high (because it is so large and massive), that even with a low probability of occurring, fusion is still possible. Cold fusion is quite literally antithetical to this process.

This book takes aim at the efficient market hypothesis, which states that prices reflect all available information.

Shiller conclusivley shows that prices/markets, particularly in equities, are far more speculative and divorced from reality than the theory suggests they should be, and that this leads to rushes, panics and crashes.

It mostly dissects the psychology of investors and how this manifests in the aggregate, specifically asset bubbles. As you would expect, the conclusion is that investors are skitish and prone to group think, so large scale market deviation from underlying/realistic prices (specifically things like p/e ratio or volatiliy that is disproportional) periodically takes place.

precision tolerance high hazard components for U.S.
government, commercial and university customers.
Our chief objective in operating these facilities

You guys wanted a play on suppliers for space and defense and you got it.
As the US gears up for a naval arms race with China, BWXT is gonna benefit.

Careful bro! This is a Jewish financial trick that has plagued Western economics for centuries. Carefully look at previous earnings reports and check if there is a little line before the amount listed (looks like this: - ). This is a secret Hebraic code that indicates that the reported earnings were actually losses. This little trick lets the Chosen People (and Goyim in the know) avoid companies that are actually doing poorly while the majority of the cattle investors obliviously buy everything they can afford.

Also my other space plays are looking to be LMT TDY and RTX.

You're gonna see huge amounts of government money go into this, and if you are gonna have a moon base, it's gonna need a reactor because the moon has a night that lasts 14 days, solar cells and batteries just can't support that. And BWXT is gonna be making that reactor.

LMT is making the Orion capsule and is a solid defense contractor all around. If the US government is doing something with space, LMT is behind it

https://www.lockheedmartin.com/en-us/capabilities/space/human-exploration.html

Teledyne- Make instruments and sensors that are on basically every space craft, Hubble, Curiosity and the ISS. They make acquisitions like crazy and have great growth potential

https://tbe.com/market/spacesystems-overview

RTX- Collins and Raytheon both have space segments, Collins does life support and other bits and bobs. They also have a satellite constellation I think. Lots of their income comes from space. Also a great growth opportunity and is gonna be a titan of defense.

No, a modern war will be fought by drones droning drones and drones droning Arabs. Look at the Turkey Russia conflict in Syria. Turkish built drones basically dismantled the SAA, while Russian drones and air support prevented Turks and their terrorist allies from moving forward at all. A cheap Turkish drone with a laser designator guided 155mm artillery onto point targets like air defenses and tanks, and the Turks uploaded the footage to dab on Syria.

unironically the only winning move is to day trade, trying to predict what will happen in this market when holding overnight is suicide. people who think holding overnight is a good idea are retards who have been coddled by a decade-long bull market where almost any legit company you bought stock in would have made you money if you just held it long enough. it is no longer like that but these retards can't see that, the decade long bull market literally gave them brain damage and they can't handle stonks not going only up. meanwhile day traders only care about price action and edges and probabilities, if anything the higher volatility and influx of volume has created far greater profits than normal, while the same methods still work they just work for bigger moves.

They are Afraid.

There's a hypothesis that the bounce was a product of short squeeze. Bought into by algo, held on by retail (and maybe retarded hedges). You can also look at the distribution of recovery on the S&P, and it's really only a handful of companies, some of which are reaching ATH right now. Biotech, pharma, AMD/NVDA (INTC is -.99% as well), MSFT, WMT, COST, NFLX...

Speaking on the perspective of fundamentals, a lot of companies have valuations that are out of this world. NFLX is my favorite example, or ZM which is a hilarious 1800 PE.

I'm wrong, but I can't imagine a shit like AMD, NFLX and ZM are going to maintain their purchase at their price point. I'm under the impression AMZN is massively overbought, I don't think their price demand is going to be representative of their growth for years to come. As earnings roll in for these recovered companies I think we'll be seeing some big downward moves as people realize they made bad moves.

This is a “value” investment argument, and those have failed and failed for a long time. You have to really know what you’re doing if you want to pick stocks to invest in on a value basis.

At $50 rtx was a steal, here it’s okay. The market often gives less certain investments higher yields. Everyone knows how good LMT is and so they’re happy paying up for it. No one can be sure about LMX now that they have so much revenue tied to the business cycle and the QUAGMIRE that is commercial air travel.

How much exposure do they have to private jets vs. big Boeing airliners? Have you done any FA on that?

SQUARE ROOT RECOVERY
>SQUARE ROOT RECOVERY
SQUARE ROOT RECOVERY
>SQUARE ROOT RECOVERY
SQUARE ROOT RECOVERY
>SQUARE ROOT RECOVERY

this sounds increasingly likely to me Bros...

>Square root-shaped recovery

>Some economic slides and recoveries follow a peculiar pattern: rising quickly for a few quarters from a sharp recession, before hitting a plateau and flattening for long period that could extend upto years. This could happen when consumer spending rapidly gathers pace shortly after the restrictions move away because of pent up demand. The sudden surge in spending, however, doesn’t carry on beyond a few quarters.

>The initial torrent in household spending helps companies empty out the inventories, but the demand is not strong enough to push companies to add more capacity lines.

>As companies do not expand, wages and salaries remain flat or crawl at a very slow pace, resulting in stagnant growth in the broader economy, resembling the shape of a mathematical square root.

I think ZM will fall very steeply. Their one and only product isn't unique. They don't have enough resources to compete against big competitors like Facebook. ZM had to suspend all work on current projects just to fix the security issues, which suggests that its development team is small and inadequate. So far, they haven't fixed the most serious issue that's the subject of the lawsuits, which is the end-to-end encryption. I doubt they can implement that within the short time frame of 90 days that they're aiming for. When you build something from a bad foundation, it's very hard to fix. or to put it another way... fibb numbers don't mean anything, all you really have on your chart is a trend that you've broken up into 7 relatively equal portions. of COURSE it's going to line up *kinda* with some lines. i could just draw a bunch of random horizontal lines in equal proportion and achieve the same thing.

you're on to something but i don't think you realize what it is. and that thing is that yes, self-fulfilling prophecies exist in the stock market and are actually a big part of what moves price. the trick is to find out which ones people and especially tutes look to the most, like moving averages (especially EMA20/50/200) and support/resistance lines or pivot points. VWAP is another big one. these are tools that people actually look at en masse and so while they don't mean anything in a vacuum, they mean something because so many people in the market trade based on them in some fashion. get it?

Lagging derivative TA indicators are shit, FA is shit, PRICE ACTION is the way. Get the lines off your chart. Forget muh recession, muh virus, muh sunk cost. Trade what is and now. If the price is moving up, buy. If the price is moving down, sell. It's as simple as it is. Higher highs and higher lows you buy. Lower highs and lower lows you sell. As long as the price trend persists stay in. Use trailing stops, when the stop is breached wait for confirmation of the next trend and get right back in. At least 2 rounds of higher/higher or lower/lower. Go in, SET A STOP and let the trade run its course.
Those busy making actual money trading the markets won't waste time charging $39 a month for the "secret". Traders with real edge treat the market like an ATM machine pulling 5 or 6 figures a day in a futures account. The furus on sim use sleight of hand to fool dupes into forking over cash for a fake dream. The only way is to read everything you can and piece together what works. Even the best books like Market Wizards won't give away the store, but you'll get a taste. It's on you to sift for the nugget of practical truth. Find that then practice as long as it takes. I like price action in the direction of the trend. Trading reversals is attractive but for most it's fool's gold. You have to nail it every time and nobody is that accurate without a lot of talent and decades of experience. Trending price action however is how you can get it done and how you win. No courses, trading rooms, or furus who don't trade but get rich off subscription fees. Just you and the chart. Now get rich

Uh to retire and not have to work again unless I just want to till the day I die. Money is great, but it's just a means to an end. I don't care if I have a million dollars. I do care about having enough to cover everything for 40 years post retirement date. I would say 51 years but it's extremely unlikely I'll see year 2083.

It isn't an easy ride but if you are a talented trader it's the best game in town due to insane leverage and the confluent ease of buying long and selling short. I'm about to short right now should we get another lower high. Easy money. With my account size I can put on multi-million dollar positions with a click of a button. Not happening in Robinhood

I like Amp Clearing. Lowest fees in the industry. Less than $5.00 for a ~140,000 notional. Compare that to crypto trading where fees would eat up about $700 in fees for an equal position size. I've been using Amp for a while and have no complaints. https://www.ampfutures.com/
