If you’re “making” money then you’re not independent

$2k/mo would be fine in most of USA if you’re frugal as fuck. Not eating out etc. and still have savings leftover. Just avoid expensive cities and you’ll be fine!

Wrong question. Wrong premise.

The rough measure of wealth is how long could you maintain your current quality of life standards without bequeathing yourself to another for monies?
By that definition the possession-less monk or even the homeless man may be wealthier than the successful stock broker.
Moral of this shit story is the amount of money does not matter if you do not first address control of your ego and therefore your spending to live within your means, whether current or future-planned. People that make more, often spend more and regardless of advancement financially in life, are typically never truly wealthy. Due to choice, and ignorance.

Must have all debts paid off. No Debts. When that happens, minimum needed is $1,400 a month. Should be just enough for food, small investments, streaming entertainment, small repairs and going out to shit restaurants (like Olive Garden) twice a month.
