How do ponzi schemes/pyramid schemes collapse?
Seems that is the necessary question to answer first before determining whether this even applies to bitcoin or not.

Like afaik in ponzi schemes, everyone above gets paid by new people buying in. Whilst in bitcoin, you don't necessarily get paid unless you wanna cash out. And the same people who are already in can keep buying in. Seems significantly different to me.
Sounds more like the stock market.
