>ultra fast delivery technology
New generations grow less and less patient and are used to home delivery services. Research in solutions to reduce delivery time/increase the speed of merchandise travels would meet huge success

>Battery life and energy storage problem
Batteries are maybe the only thing still holding mobile devices back nowadays. Energy surplus that cannot be stored is also a regular issue for electricity providers.

This. Technological integration with the body and mind. Research into how to better interface computers with brains.

No one is going to make any major battery innovations any time soon. Too much is invested in the lithium ion paradigm of chemical energy storage.

Someone would have to innovate a new chemical reaction that is more efficient for energy storage and more scalable: that’s not gonna happen within the next decade or longer.

There is already an enormous amount of funding and research for “faster delivery.”

I’d also say high automation additive manufacturing that takes place at the sites where the materials most used are mined/produced

AM is not cost-effective for general manufacturing. It only excels at prototyping, high part complexity, or for small batches that aren't worth tooling up for. It has a place in the world, but it is not the sole future of manufacturing. Additionally, most AM companies are plagued with snake oil salesmen promising the world without delivering.

Seconding.
I haven't found any public company that's making prototypes. I guess I just do a bunch of reading about who's supplying parts for whoever's building stuff?

>online education
There is no good reason you need to be physically present to get a degree in anything that isn't a trade.
>realtime gigwork middleware
Some sort of software that plugs you in to Uber, Taskrabbit, Rover, etc and just feeds you a highly optimized stream of gigwork as you go about your day.
Imagine you start by uber driving a guy from location A to B, then at B you pick up an uber eats order and take it to a dude at location C where there are also like 5 Bird bikes for pickup to take back to the repair/charging station at location D, at location D you pick up the keys for a guy's apartment and go pick up his dogs and take them on a walk around the park before coming back to location D, where you finally pick up an Uber ride and drive him to a location near your house before you call it quits for the day. I fundamentally believe this is how 90% or more of new workers will make a living in the future.
>entertainment automation
See pic related. Imagine instead of film, TV, advertisement, and even porn actors and actresses there were just AIs that would generate millions of potential AI models for literal pennies. These models will be used instead of actors and actresses.
>mid-term rentals
There will be a wave of people buying out apartment complexes, decorating them all the exact same way, and renting them out to people for just enough time that renter's rights don't kick in and they can be easily evicted. If you like your apartment building, then once every 5 or so months you'll move one unit over to the left. This will be how urban housing is done for everyone other than the ultra-elite who will have to deposit their full lease in advance plus a 6 month 'eviction insurance' deposit.
