My portfolio is close to $200k but I cannot quit since I need to work to keep my visa. I don't wanna go back to my shithole country.

Thinking about marrying a local just to stay in the country.

where are you from and how can it possibly be worse than $8/hr?

time cannot be measured in dollars
when I offer my services for a job I am not giving away my time, I am acting in such a manner that the time throughout my life is more pleasant
But the time is not exchanged. I still experience it.
In that sense money is not a measure of time itself but of how pleasantly that time is spent.

it would say it depends on what i’m doing and how long i’m doing it. Also depends on my current financial situation. For example right now I would do some programming work for $50/hour but I would play animal crossing for free
