The problem is, OP, that you probably aren't seeing all the posts. If you are just viewing [biz] through the /biz/ board, you don't see the green posts, the posts with letters in their ids, or anything numberless. Together, those make up about 40-70 percent of [biz], depending on the day. So conversation will appear disjointed and spastic, because you won't be getting the full picture.


I actually just flipped over to the /biz/ interface to make this post, and it's pretty funny how unintelligible [biz] is like this.

I think the drop was mostly a liquidity thing after a series of unfortunate events. Bitcoin was already looking like it was rolling over from the 7k to 10k move so people already had a reason to get out. Then people panicked with corona which spiked it down, so traders dumped it even more. Then it broke some long term parabolic lines, so a lot of people sold then, and the order books were just wiped. All that happened before more fed emergency action and and stimulus announcements.

I actually think stocks and crypto are set to fall when the economy "reopens." When people go back to work, spending and consumption will go up, but the economy is stiff absolutely fucked. I bet a lot of people start cashing out when that happens.

But I am still long term crypto. I think inflation will kick up, triggering gold and bitcoin to go up. I'm not sure about the stock market, because I think a lot of businesses are going to have troubles with rising costs, and there are still a ton of zombie companies that are still walking around that need to die for good.
