Fudders, you fail to understand the importance of chainlink in the space, most of us are in it for the tech and the revolution it brings.
no one until now proposed a viable solution to the oracle problem, chainlink IS and will always be the defacto standard oracle.
i'm a dapp developper, and I can assure you that developping a betting app is so fucking easy with chainlink, you can easily setup a betting smart contract that instanciates a chainlink request, you just input the parameters of the jobid of the chainlink node you wants and Wallah!

chainlink is a ground breaking tech, as it enables trustless economy, with smart contracts being able to connect to the internet.

chainlink nodes are much more than mere API adapters, they are what we call in the biz oracles 2.0, agents of the smart contract, a chainlink node could be for example an IoT device, a smart self driving car, a smart phone, even a drone...you can pay the chainlink node via the smart contract and make it reply to services... THIS IS INNOVATION!
